About Me
Hi, I'm the Katy in KatyMaslow.com. I got my grit as a young entrepreneur. I was the founder and owner of a major brand in the plant world, ran a virtual marketing department for an Inc. 500 company, and have been a working artist from New York to California.
I have a way with words and received my BFA in Creative Writing many moons ago. My personal passions include poetry and photography, and there is always a book in the works.
I live in the mountains outside San Diego with my three black cats, Doom & Gloom & Caspurr. When not working hard to support my clients, you can find me feeding the birds and stopping to smell all the flowers.

My greatest professional achievement:
I was the innovator, co-owner, and miniature artist behind Twig Terrariums, an award-winning plant-based company (2009-2019) located in New York City.
During the Twig years, I co-authored Tiny World Terrariums (Abrams Books, STC Craft), a comprehensive guide to building terrariums.
I taught hundreds of terrarium workshops, created thousands of terrariums, and managed product design, event production, and corporate collaborations. I received a lot of press during those years, and my work has been featured by some of the finest news organizations, magazines, television shows, and websites. We were this close to having our own reality show.
My creations and business were featured in The New York Times (twice!), Entrepreneur Magazine, the American Folk Art Museum, the Museum of Arts & Design, and the list goes on. What a wild ride!
